#Day1- The Happiest Place on Earth

We spend our whole childhood wanting to grow up faster. But we spend our whole adult life wanting to go back to the simplicity of being a kid. ” – Unknown

It’s that time again. That time of year where I try my hardest to put any negative thoughts or actions out of my mind. That time where I believe that being happy is the best feeling in the world. No matter how your day goes there will always be at least one bright spot in it. It is my goal to not only remember that bright spot but to make it my focus.

What better way to start this challenge than with family :-). Over the weekend I took a few of my niece and nephews to what some call the Happiest Place on Earth, Disney World!

As a kid I was such a Disney fanatic event well into my early 20’s. It was not only their first time going but mine as well and I must say besides the weather being way too hot I had an amazing time. A few hiccups in our plans for the weekend but overall they enjoyed themselves and that alone made me one Happy camper.

They got on a few rides, saw a few characters, watch animated shows and didn’t get on my nerves (A really huge surprise). There was so much more I wanted us to do but unfortunately the weekend was cut short. That in itself could have made me upset but knowing that I helped put a smile on their face even for just a little while was enough for me.

Check out these photos from our trip and make sure to check out my YouTube page later to watch our Vlog!

Often times we find ourselves hoping to following our minds rather than our hearts and we soon realize it's not the case. we get so caught up in our feelings and allow the stream of tears to sway us into making short term decisions that has long term effects. Sometimes we need to take a step back from ourselves and look at things from the outside. Ask ourselves is it worth it? Will I be ok with my decision tomorrow? Once we decide that it is worth losing we need to breathe in release and let go! No looking back, no regrets, just high hopes for the future, less frowns and more smiles. My name is Jordean Matthews and I am a native of Pleasantville, NJ. This blog showcases all things that are me. My life, my talents, my thoughts, my family. It truly displays all the pieces of me.
