New year, new me. How often have we heard that? Not often enough in my opinion. People for whatever reason get upset when they hear people say those words but I get encourage and excited. It doesn’t necessarily mean you are changing who you are completely but that you recognize the faults within yourself or areas that could use a little improvement and you want to work on being the best version of You.
Don’t let other people try and dictate when and how you making changes in your life. If it takes you two months or two years that’s your progress so pace yourself. Set goals not just for the year but for life. If you are like me and have a hard time staying focused on one thing then start small. Remember the micro-wins so you can get to those macro-wins.
If you goal is to buy a house this year then your goal for the day can be to do research on the house buying process while your goal for the week could be to research and narrow down companies you would like to apply to for a home loan. In this process in particular it is also important to continue those weekly goals so that you are constantly seeing improvements and getting closer to your end goal.
Don’t be afraid to take chances in life and be daring. Step out of your comfort zone and try something new every once in a while. You can’t be afraid to fail or you’ll miss out of some of your wins. It’s another year which means there are so many more days to go out and get it. Don’t forget to enjoy the process.
